Attorney Trent Woods believes in partnering with his clients by truly understanding their business, their needs, concerns, and goals. He takes a sincere interest in his clients and strives to understand what is truly important to them. This philosophy comes from his experience sitting on the opposite side of the desk from attorneys, as a client. As an operations manager of a multi-million dollar construction company, Trent worked closely with numerous attorneys for nearly ten years. He knows what it is like to sit in the client’s chair, and as a result, he strives to be the attorney he wished he always had.
Trent has expertise in nearly all aspects of construction and development projects in Arizona. Unlike most Arizona construction law attorneys, Trent has hands on experience in the field and in the home office which allows him to better understand the issues, the nuances, and the complexities of construction law from contract disputes, payment problems, and lien law to defect litigation. He was responsible for the successful on-time, under-budget completion of as many as 30 construction projects per year.
As an avid outdoorsman, Trent enjoys shooting sports and firearms collecting. His interest in the law and love of firearms has left Trent with an intense interest in firearms law- in particular, the National Firearms Act (NFA). Trent drafts custom gun trusts which allow firearms owners and collectors to safely and legally own NFA weapons, including machine guns, short barrel rifles (SBR), short barrel shotguns (SBS), suppressors (silencers), destructive devices, and Another Other Weapons (AOW). Gun trusts ensure that those weapons are purchased and transferred properly to prevent accidental felony charges. Trent maintains an informative website, www.azgunlaw.com, which is dedicated to Arizona firearms law, the National Firearms Act (NFA) and gun trusts. Trent drafts approximately 25 gun trusts per month.
